2006 Chicago Country Music Festival

The Chicago Country Music Festival in Grant Park on the city's lakefront happily takes place in conjunction with Taste of Chicago, the annual showcase of the city's restaurants - so you can enjoy live music while you munch. Sweet bluegrass, traditional and alternative country music emanates from two stages. Highlights of the line-up for this year will be announced shortly. There are plenty of distractions for the thousands who turn out every year for this popular festival and the food isn't all steaks and burgers - this is a city that takes good food very seriously.

Every year the Mayor’s Office of Special Events accepts music submissions (bio, tapes, cds, photos, etc.) for consideration for the Chicago Gospel Music Festival, Chicago Blues Festival, Taste of Chicago, Chicago Country Music Festival, Viva! Chicago Latin Music Festival, Chicago Jazz Festival and Celtic Fest Chicago. All unsolicited music submissions must be submitted between July 28, 2005 to January 31, 2006 to be considered for the 2006 Chicago Country Music Festival. Send music submissions to: Erin Bauer
